Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School. We are committed to making Abby Kelley Foster a center for academic achievement.

Your support and participation are vital to the fulfillment of our mission. As an essential step in involving you in your child’s education, we have prepared the Parent/Student Handbook. We encourage you to read this booklet thoroughly, discuss it with your child, and refer to it frequently throughout the year.

The handbook includes general information about our curriculum and specific school policies and procedures that will contribute to the development of our community and the success of our school. The behavior policy describes the policies and procedures that will be implemented to encourage appropriate conduct and ensure a safe learning environment.

Accompanying the handbook is a compact between your family and the school. Please read it carefully, discuss it with your child, and return a signed copy with each child to the homeroom teacher. The Administration may amend or update the policies and procedures outlined in this Handbook at anytime during the school year.
