No Child Left Behind

Dear Parent or Guardian:

The Federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 requires schools that receive federal Title I funding to notify parents regarding their right to know the professional qualifications of their child’s classroom teacher.

Abby Kelley Foster receives Title I funding to support the academic needs of our students. The school will provide the following information for each of your child’s classroom teacher upon request:

  • Whether the teacher meets the state qualifications and licensing criteria for the grades and subjects he or she teaches.
  • Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or provisional status because of special circumstances.
  • The teacher’s college major, whether the teacher has any advanced degrees, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree.
  • Whether paraprofessionals provide services to your child and, if so, their qualifications.

Abby Kelley Foster is committed to providing all students with a strong academic foundation by employing qualified professionals. If you would like to receive any of the information listed above, please contact AnnMarie Little at 508-854-8400 x 3625.
