COVID Testing in the 2021-2022 School Year
Abby Kelley is moving to the at-home individual rapid test model, which will provide each staff member and student who opts-in to the program two (2) tests every other week to support at home testing (as needed). It is recommend that these tests be used either when in contact with someone who has tested positive and/or if you are feeling symptomatic. Families are encouraged to sign your student(s) up for these FREE tests to help us stop the spread of COVID and to keep all students and staff safely learning in school this year.
If you begin to experience symptoms while in school, the AKFCS Nurses will continue to do symptomatic testing during the school day. Students may only participate with permission and consent from a parent or guardian.
For additional information on testing, please visit the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) website, see the COVID Consent Testing letters sent to families (below) and review the District Health Protocols.
