Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School offers a classical liberal arts education. Our graduation requirements ensure the academic, artistic, and character-building experiences that reflect our commitment to this goal. Diplomas shall be granted to students who have completed the requirements for graduation as established in the curriculum approved by the Abby Kelley Foster Charter School Board of Trustees. All students are required to apply to a two or four year institution of higher education and pass the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) as part of their graduation requirements.
Abby Kelley Foster provides all students at the high school level with a college preparatory program. At the beginning of each course, each teacher will provide a written explanation of course expectations, methods of evaluation, and the grading system. Assessments may include, but are not limited to tests, quizzes, written assignments, projects, and labs. All students in the high school are graded quarterly.
